In 2002 Nick was very pleased to be chosen as Australian Geographic Magazine's Photographer of the Year for a story he shot on Lake Eyre in flood. It was his first assignment for this magazine, which is considered Australia's premier photographic journal.

Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP)

Nick has also been recognised by Australia's peak professional body, the AIPP when he was named as a Master of Photography in 2005. Some of the images that earned Nick this honour are displayed below.

Nick was also awarded the title of Landscape Photographer of the Year by the Queesland AIPP.
